Labor Day weekend...Sunday fun!

Sunday after church and naps the Port Hatfields joined us at Grandpa and Nana's for some hang out time.

The girls are ganging up on the boys already...watch out Traeger and Jack.

"Here Jack, I think you really need this...."

"...or maybe I'll just try it :O)!"

A birth order picture of the cousins running to the park...can you see Traeger way up front leading the pack?

Jack wondering where Ataly is taking him.

...and off they go!

Lots of fun was had by all...time to head home.

Labor Day weekend...Saturday fun!

After watching Grandpa coach the high school team, Traeger thought this "coachering" stuff was pretty cool. Who knew blowing a whistle was so much fun.

Grandpa graciously playing along.

The Hatfield men watching Daddy's high school football highlight video. I'm not sure who was more into Traeger or Daddy :O)?

The reason we traveled down was for Luke's 10 year class reunion. I enjoyed meeting a few of Luke's classmates but mostly Anna and I just chatted the night away.

Thanks Anna for making the night more relaxing and fun....I had a great time!

We had lots of laughs with our dear friends!

Luke went to high school with Matt and I have known Anna since Luke and I started dating.

I'm so thankful God saved this handsome man for me!

Labor Day weekend...Friday fun!

After chilling out in the morning, we drove to the middle school to check in on Grandpa and Nana at work. They are both middle school teachers. Nana teaches 6th grade and Grandpa Tim teaches 8th grade History.

Our first stop was in Nana's room for some hugs and kisses.

There just happened to be a birthday girl that day so we got in on the birthday treats.

Ataly loving the birthday treat and keeping a close eye on the big girls.

Ataly thinking she's big stuff sitting in one of Grandpa Tim's desks.

The kids had a blast checking out where Nana and Grandpa work and where Daddy once attended school. We popped in a few of the classrooms and said hello to the teachers that Luke had when he was attending there. A blast from the past.

That night Nana watched the kids and Luke and I got out for a date night. We went to the movies for the first time in ages, it was a nice treat and took us back to our singe/married without kids years.

Labor Day weekend...Thursday fun!

We arrived at Grandpa and Nana's safe and sound...an answer to prayer.

We were greeted with these beautiful flowers in our room from Nana's very own flower beds...what a special touch.

We got unpacked and then walked up to the high school to watch the football team practice while Grandpa coached.

Traeger running like the big boys.

Mr. Ball Boy

Getting his workout in for the day...

while Ataly pulls it up and makes it harder for him :O)

Creative project...

My sister's youngest started 4K this year, so she asked if I'd make him a nametag for his backpack like I did for his brothers. I jumped at the opportunity to get my creative juices flowing....

and this was the final product.

The front with the ribbon to attach to his backpack.

The back with his first and last name along with the name of his school and his teacher's name.

Out for a walk...

Night on the town...

We cheered on the high school girl's tennis team and then headed to a park for supper.

I wonder what they are talking about.

Ataly mastering her stabbing skills.

Big hugs!

Heading down to the Mill Pond to feed the ducks.

At one point I told Traeger to feed the babies, the ones with DOWN feathers, and he immediately said, "why not UP?" We laughed pretty hard after that. He leanred that night that there are different meanings to the word, down.

I love Ataly's sweet and innocent smiles.

Saying and waving goodbye to the ducks.

Bible story book

A shout out to one of the youth group kids who decided he wanted to share his Bible story book from when he was a little boy with Traeger. How cool is that!

All worn out!

After many years of wear and tear on this little toddler bike, it wore out under Traeger's watch. Traeger was pretty disappointed but we knew it was inevitable. Just look at those tires, they have seen better days.

Checking it out to see the damage.

Trying to fix it...

but really there is no hope.

Grandpa and Nonnie save the weekend.

Often times God knows what we need before we even know...that was the case this particular weekend. Mom called Friday morning to see if we were around and available for them to come visit. I knew Luke had to work but I'd be home and am always up for visitors and extra hands. So by noon my parent's were on their way. I didn't realize Luke would be as busy as he was all weekend so Mom and Dad's visit made the weekend a little more bearable. One of the coolest things of the whole weekend was on a lunch trip to McDonalds. God opened up a door for us to share His love with a hurting man and after talking with him for over an hour, he came to accept Christ as his Savior right there in the McDonalds playland and he chose to come worship with us Sunday morning. God is good!

Nonnie likes her coffee, so everytime their in town Nonnie makes a trip to the local coffee shop to feed her 'addiction' and Traeger gets a tasty muffin.

Reading time with Nonnie...

and Ataly took her turn when Traeger was done.

Many hands make light work.

diligently picking off the hair.

Ataly doing her part.

Mission completed...supper is half way to being finished!

Thanks Grandpa and Nonnie for your visit...God blessed us through you!

Qdoba goodness!

Feeding our faces with tasty Qdoba for supper...

Spending one on one time with the man I love...

Enjoying the gorgeous summer night out on the patio...

Thank you God for your sweet blessings in my life!
