Thanks to Walmart
Daddy picked up papers from Walmart for the kids to color in honor of Earth Day.
Having a blast coloring her picture.
We turned them in for the chance to win a $25, $15 or $10 gift card.
Much to our surprise, they randomly picked Ataly's name for the $15 gift card.
Hip, Hip Hooray for winning!
The kids and I had fun shopping and we even left with $3 remaining on the gift card to use for another visit. Trying to teach Traeger you don't have to spend it all at once :O)
Many hands make light work???
The kids were playing well so I thought I'd dive into cleaning the bathroom. Minutes into my endeavor, I had 2 sets of helping hands. I did my best to bite my tongue and praise them for being big helpers.

Picnic time
I'm so excited that it's that time of year again where we can go outside and have picnic lunches and/or suppers!

While the daddies were working, the Briggs and Kinkead mommies and kiddos came over for supper and to hang out to make the time pass quickly.

Spring Break visitors
We had just enough time to send our TX visitors on their way, rest up for the night, change the sheets, go grocery shopping and the Patrick family came to hang out over their Spring Break for a few days. We had an awesome time together. I love watching as the cousins get older how they are becoming friends.

Cori was quite disturbed that of all things to find at Circle of Faith it had to be something to put on your head. After a good clorox wipe down, it was like new.
Thanks guys for making the time to travel north to hang out for a few days and make lots of new memories.
Easter outfits
Ataly requested pants...I demanded a dress. I won and she wasn't a happy camper. She cried pretty much from the moment I put it on until it came off.
Traeger wanted a button down shirt... I wanted a button down shirt AND a sweater vest. He won because in the end, does it really matter????
Of course I would love to have had that cute family picture where it appears that our life is perfect, but it's not. So here's the real look...
Easter weekend/Special Visitors
Welcome to WI M and Elena!
Friday's adventures:
The kids and I picked up our TX visitors from the airport and continued onto Nonnie and Grandpa's house.
So great to see that beautiful, smiling face in person!
Shortly after arriving the kid's jumped in canoes and took a trip down the creek.
Gideon, Treager, Kieran and Uncle Adam leading the canoe voyage.
Breck, Elena and Grandpa Bruce drifting in to end the trip in Nonnie and Grandpa's backyard.
The cousins and Elena snuggled up watching a movie.
Saturday's adventures:
Despite the rainy, cold weather the kids got outside to ride bikes, look for worms and just hang out together.
Then it was inside to look for the Easter baskets Nonnie hid for the kiddos.

and Ataly found hers and started digging in right away.
Saturday afternoon we made our way back to Medford to see Luke and to show our TX visitors our homefront.
Just like the good ol' days :O)
While the little ones were sleeping we painted eggs for the morning.
Sunday's adventures:
First and foremost we were so thankful to be celebrating our risen King!
Elena woke me up in the morning, even before Traeger and Ataly did. Of course I got up without hesitation, despite the early hour, to spend some time together and look for those eggs Luke hid.
After church it was time to color more eggs. So fun to be doing this together with our TX visitors.
The kiddos having a blast together.
It made my heart happy to see them play so well together.

She has grown up to become quite the thoughtful, compassionate, and beautiful young lady.

Monday's Adventures:
The anticipation of their coming, all the time and new memories we made filled my heart with much joy. It blessed my heart greatly that they would make the sacrifices to come hang out with us for a few days and that they desired to see our neck of the woods. But then all too quickly our time together came to an end and it was time to send them on their way. I held it together until they went through security and then the tears started rolling down my cheeks. Their visit was such a sweet reminder to me of how great God is. He could have simply provided a great job to get us through seminary but He saw fit to bless us then and for the rest of our lives with dear people we get to call not only friends but family.
