Taco/Movie Night!

Friday night we had some senior high students over for supper and then they headed off to see a movie! Traeger was so excited for his "friends" to come over.

Katie wasn't interested in going to the movie, so she stayed behind for a couple hours and played with the kids and we chatted.

New do

Traeger has needed a haircut for some time now and we just weren't finding the time to do it. So while I was gone working out, Luke took the bull by the horns and...

shaved it!

It's taken me the whole day to get somewhat used to it and I'm still thankful hair grows back.

Poor Luke was just trying to be helpful.

Happy Mother's Day!

On Mother's Day, I had the kids at my parent's while Luke was home working. To make up for not having me around on Mother's Day, Luke let me sleep in on Tuesday and made me breakfast in bed. Kudos to Luke. The kids wanted to eat their breakfast in bed just like mommy :O)

What a blessing it is to be Traeger and Ataly's mommy! I am still learning and growing into the mommy and woman God wants me to be. Some days are easier than others. I pray that I will be on that journey until I die.

God is good!

Change of plans

Last weekend was shaping up to be a busy weekend for Luke, meaning we wouldn't see him from Friday noon until Saturday late. So instead of sitting home feeling trapped and sorry for myself, around noon I decided to pack the kids up and head south to visit my family. I called mom to see if we could come hang out and without hesitation she asked when we were showing up. They were already having the Patrick family, Adam's sisters and a friend over for the traditional Friday night fish fry. Mom just called and added 2 more plates.

Adam got a fire started and we all enjoyed chatting around a good ol' bon fire.

The boys spent the night on Friday. I woke up to Traeger, G and B playing the Wii.

Saturday, after lunch we walked over to the Bohn Store for our traditional ice cream or rice krispie treat (again something we did as kids...it's great to keep the tradition going)

Paddington and Ataly's adventure!

Ataly's Nana made her the Paddington Bear for Christmas. It sat up on the shelf until today. Ataly grabbed it and hasn't let go. So, she came on our walk with us.

Someone from church gave us this bike carrier.

We broke it out for the first time and the kids loved it!

It's really tight quarters but they didn't seem to mind a bit!

Sunday morning!

Sunday mornings are normally a little chaotic to say the least since I have to get myself and the kiddos ready and out the door by myself. This particular Sunday I was thankful for a calm morning. I even had time to get a picture of the kids in their Sunday clothes.

Mother/Daughter Banquet!

"To everything there is a season" was the theme of the Mother/Daughter banquet this year. As always, it was so well done from decorating to food to the speaker!

I'm so thankful God has blessed me with Ataly Raen, a special daughter!

Senior's Night!

The longer we're here the harder it is to say good-bye to the Seniors. It's bittersweet, we will miss them dearly but we know they are moving on to bigger and better things.

We were missing a few Seniors but had a great time celebrating the ones that could make it.

Family time!

We took in a beautiful, spring night while watching the Medford Raiders play baseball. The kids were busy bodies but got in a few cheers for their favorite player, #4. You can do it Jimmy!

Shane and Shane concert.

Saturday night, Shane and Shane were planning at Reeve Union at the University of Oshkosh. It was a great concert! Matt Maher opened with solid time to worship and Shane and Shane finished the night with their awesome music and worship. God is using these men to draw others to Himself through their songs and transparent hearts.

We have no idea who the guy in the background is but apparently wanted to be a part of our family :O)

Adventure in the rain!

Cori and I ran our first 5K race together this past weekend in Wautoma. We woke up to a nasty, cold, dreary, rainy day. Not exactly the kind of running weather we were hoping for but we decided to make the most of it. By the end of it we were wet from head to toe, into every layer we were wearing and we had squishy shoes but it sure was a fun adventure.

Happy Belated Birthday!

We like to take the Wipf boys (our head pastor's sons) out to celebrate their birthdays. Poor Silas had to wait over a month before we could make it happen. Hopefully it was worth the wait...
